LEGO Bionicle didn't just become LEGO's best-selling product for several consequtive yeras because it was a great product. It's success was also very much down to the incredible storyline and the journey of it's heroic characters that resulted in a wide range of TV commercials, books, TV episodes, comic books, online games and character portraits.


As Head of Story and the copywriter of the creative team I helped develop and tell out the story in all these avenues.

The Story of How LEGO Increased Their Turnover in Their Most Saturated Markets


This retail loyalty campaign not only resulted in exceptionally high user engagement, but also directly affected the bottom line.

For every LEGO purchase during the campaign period, consumers received collectible LEGO ALL STAR cards that were eligible for further discounts.


The campaign revolved around a highly creative concept where kids could collect cards featuring their favorite LEGO characters and unlock unique online content, allowing them to create their own heroic LEGO videos.

THE STORY OF ANNE BLACK VS. NETTO


When my client Anne Black suddenly discovered that Netto was selling identical copies of her design in their stores nationwide, I immediately reached out to them with an idea.


It became the story of how a simple video posted on Facebook went viral in less than 24 hours. The video and the story were picked up by all mainstream media and resulted in much-needed debate about the copyright infringements of small, independent designers.


Anne Black eventually won the case at the Supreme Court of Denmark.
